How do you measure improvements in immune system health? Are you getting sick less often?
You've probably never heard a parent talk about goals for their children's immune system health, but this concept could be a game-changer for your family this year.
Our mission here at ImmuneStrong Families is to help your family get sick less often and recover faster when you do get sick. This is a worthy mission and an excellent goal for your family, but it can be hard to measure. How do you gauge whether you're succeeding at building a stronger immune system?
Here's a great starting point: Set a goal of getting sick half as much as a typical year. How many times did your child get sick last year? The goal can be to get sick half as much. Did your daughter get sick 6 or 8 times last year? A great goal would be to get sick only 4 times this year.

I know what you're thinking: "I haven't been keeping track of how many times my kids get sick!" It's ok, it's just an estimate.
It has become common for children to get a cold or flu as many as 8 to 10 times in a calendar year! That's almost once a month. Consider how life-changing it would be if that child now only got sick 5 times in a year!
An important concept to consider as we work towards getting sick less often and recovering faster is that we do this by building a healthy and resilient body, not by becoming a germaphobe or isolating ourselves from society. The goal is that your body would be able to handle the next germ that comes along.
