Mindset of Immune System Success.

As parents, we must undergo a mindset shift to help ensure success in raising healthy kids. At ImmuneStrong Kids, our mission is to help parents raise healthy kids with strong, resilient immune systems who don't get sick often and recover quickly if they do.

Today's article focuses on raising healthy children from a philosophical perspective. It involves a mindset shift.

Unfortunately, a victim mentality pervades discussions of colds and flu. There is this idea that we are all just victims of the next germ that comes along. This victim mentality implies that you and your children are vulnerable and helpless and that if another kid sneezes on your child, they will inevitably get sick.

The truth is that the human body is fantastic. It has the most amazing capacity to thrive and be healthy if we just take care of it properly. Within the human body, you have an immune system. While the immune system is very complex, what it can do if appropriately supported is incredible.

We have to realize that germs are everywhere—bacteria, viruses, microorganisms, parasites—and we are constantly exposed to them. So it's not like we need to live in fear, worried that every time we go to work or every time our kid goes to school, they're just automatically going to get sick if they get sneezed on.

You and your children are not victims. You do not have to be weak and vulnerable victims of the "bad-luck germ monster." The mindset shift is that instead of being afraid of every germ that comes along, we should do everything we can to have a healthy, strong, resilient immune system inside a healthy, strong, resilient body so that we don't have to live in fear. So that we don't have to feel like helpless victims.

Instead, we can be confident that our immune systems can handle whatever circulates around our child's kindergarten classroom. We can walk with what I call "health confidence."

What are you doing to create a mindset shift in yourself so that you can raise children that are immune confident?
