Immune System: How can I boost my immune system in 24 hours?

Here are five immediate steps to take when you start feeling sick.

A common question is: "What can I do to boost my immune system when I feel rundown or start feeling sick."

The problem with this question is that it's probably too late by the time you start to feel sick. The sickness is already in process, but here are immediate actions you can take to mitigate it and recover faster.

  1. Cut out sugar now. Sugar destroys White Blood Cell function and sabotages recovery. For more information about sugar and the immune system, check out this article titled "Sugary Sweet Sabotage."

  1. Vitamin D. Vitamin D is crucial for all aspects of immune health, and having low levels is likely a contributing factor to why you're sick to begin with.

  2. Prioritize hydration and consider electrolytes. Dehydration is dangerous. Adding electrolytes to your water will help your cells and tissues absorb it rather than pass right through you. We like Ultima and LMNT.

  3. Vitamin C. Most of the research showing the incredible power of Vitamin C utilizes IV Vitamin C therapy. If you're not ready to go to a clinic and get an IV Vitamin C drip, get it through food and supplements.

  4. Go to sleep. Your body heals and recovers most during sleep, so go to bed.

This is a great start to boost your immune system quickly. What other strategies do you use when you feel like you're starting to get sick?
